How do I clear my Browser Cache?

*This article is applicable to both operators of VR Arcades and operators of VR labs & maker spaces at educational institutions.*

If you are having issues seeing changes in your Operator Panel or Station Monitor, you may need to flush your cache. To flush your browser cache, follow the steps for your respective device.

Mac/PC Desktop

Safari

  1. Right click anywhere in the window, then select Inspect Element.
  2. Allow the Dev Tools to open up in your window.
  3. Hold down the Shift key and refresh the page.

Chrome

  1. Right click anywhere in the window, then select Inspect.
  2. Allow the Dev Tools to open up in your window.
  3. Right-click on the refresh icon and select Empty cache and Hard Reload.

Firefox

  1. Right click anywhere in the window, then select Inspect Element.
  2. Allow the Dev Tools to open up in your window.
  3. Hold down the Shift key and refresh the page.

Edge

  1. In the upper right corner of the browser, click on the three dot menu then select Settings.
  2. Scroll until you see Clear Browsing Data, then select Choose what to clear.
  3. Make sure Cached data & files is selected, then select Clear.

 

iPad/iPhone:

Safari

  1. From your Home screen, tap on Settings.
  2. Next scroll down and tap Safari.
  3. Scroll all the way down the page and select Clear History & Website Data.

Chrome

  1. From your home screen, open the Chrome App.
  2. In the top right corner, tap on the three doe menu and select History.
  3. In the bottom left corner select Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Check Cookies, Site Data, and cached images & files. Uncheck the other items.
  5. Tap Clear Browsing Data.
  6. Tap Done.

Firefox

  1. From your home screen, open the Firefox App.
  2. In the top right corner, tap on the three line menu and select Settings.
  3. Scroll down and select Clear Private Data.
  4. Check Cache, Cookies, and Offline Website Data. Uncheck the other items.
  5. Tap Clear Private Data.
  6. Tap Done.

 

NOTE: You may need to do this in your Station Monitor as well as your Operator Panel. Once you do those steps your cache should be flushed and the page should appear normally. If you still experience issues after clearing the cache contact us at support@springboardvr.com
